April ‘16 playlist

Disco is an amazing genre at least in my perspective, and for this playlist I decided to make a short disco playlist with some of the old school disco songs that I love and have been listening to lately. I’ll probably make more disco playlists as I really enjoy that type of music because it puts me in a better mood and makes you feel like dancing and singing, and movin’ to the groovin’. 90’s, 80’s and 70’s music is also a big favorite of mine, because for some weird reason a lot of the music from those time periods just makes me laugh and smile. Personally I like almost all genres as I believe they all are good in their own ways, but some of my most favorite genres include bubblegum pop, pop (mostly from the 90’s and 80’s), hard rock, heavy metal and alternative pop/rock.

Songs included in the playlist:

  1. Le Freak – CHIC
  2. Play That Funky Music – Wild Cherry
  3. Boogie Shoes – KC & The Sunshine Band
  4. Disco Inferno – The Trammps
  5. Dancing Machine – The Jackson 5
  6. We Are Family – Sister Sledge
  7. Everybody dance – CHIC
  8. Stayin’ Alive – Bee Gees

DIY heart shaped paper clips

I have always admired the art of giving old things a new purpose, and DIY crafts where you can make items yourself. Yesterday while I was browsing through Pinterest for inspiration I found a picture of some really cute heart shaped paper clips, and I wanted to show you the easiest way of how you can make them yourself.

Wire heart

You’ll need:

  • Craft Wire or a straightened paper clip
  • Jewelry pliers

Wire

Instructions:

  • You start by taking the craft wire or straightened paper clip and make loops like shown in the video below.
  • Then you can make some final touches to make it look the way you want it and you’re done.

The BEST chocolate syrup recipe

Chocolate syrup tastes amazing, and it’s so easy to make it. As it is one of the most classic things you can top your ice cream with, therefore I’m going to share with you this easy to follow recipe:

Ingredients:

1 and 1/2 tablespoons of butter

1 cup cocoa powder

1 and 1/2 cup of sugar

1 and 1/2 cup of water

A pinch of salt

1 teaspoon of vanilla extract

Directions:

  1. Pour the sugar, water, cocoa powder, butter and salt together into a saucepan or a pot over medium heat, remember to stir constantly until the mixture begins to simmer.
  2. Remove from heat and stir the vanilla into the syrup.

The syrup will thicken once it cools down, though you can serve it warm too. It also tastes great in coffee and hot chocolate, but as mentioned before I personally recommend it as topping on ice cream.
